After several months of centralized renovation and upgrading, the school building maintenance and renovation project of Hefei No.9 Middle School (Sipailou Campus) has been officially completed and accepted recently. The school has designed a new dual power supply method during the renovation, which greatly improves the reliability of campus power supply and meets the modern teaching electricity needs.
According to statistics, during this summer vacation, Hefei has completed the installation and expansion of electricity services for more than 30 schools in the city, with a total of 45820 kVA of new school electricity capacity added, a year-on-year increase of 88%.
At the same time as the comprehensive improvement of campus hardware conditions, the software part has also been greatly 'updated'. For example, more than 100 air conditioners, smart blackboards, and fully electric kitchens have been added to classrooms. Compared to the past, the new campus has a greater demand for electricity, so power capacity expansion and renovation is one of the most important projects for our maintenance and renovation this time, "said Zhou Yi, the leader of the working group of Hefei No. 9 Middle School (Sipailou Campus).
It is reported that the Ninth Middle School (Sipailou Campus) in Hefei started upgrading and renovating in April this year. Prior to this, in early February, they submitted a high-voltage new installation application to the power supply department. According to the plan, the school will build a self managed distribution room and add two distribution transformers with a capacity of 400 kVA, increasing the overall power capacity of the school from 1000 kVA to 1800 kVA. At the same time, the public network distribution transformer with a capacity of 400 kVA, which has been in operation for over 10 years, has been upgraded to a box type transformer with a capacity of 630 kVA.
The school is a key user of people's livelihood. Based on reliability requirements, we have designed a new dual power supply method for the school, upgrading its main and backup power supplies from the previous 1000 kVA and 500 kVA to 1800 kVA. This greatly improves the reliability of campus power supply and fully meets the modern teaching electricity demand, "said Wu Yutao.
Starting from July this year, the power capacity expansion and renovation of Hefei No.9 Middle School (Sipailou Campus) has entered the final sprint stage. The power supply department in Hefei has opened a green channel, and multiple professionals have cooperated to conduct joint inspections for the school multiple times. They have compared the drawings and processes, comprehensively inspected the installation process of new equipment, completed the installation of measuring instruments, eliminated equipment hidden dangers and faults, and continuously accelerated the power supply process.
With the close cooperation and efforts of the power supply department and the school, the new power facilities of Hefei No.9 Middle School (Sipailou Campus) were officially put into operation on August 26th. On August 31st, Wu Yutao and his colleagues provided on-site services again to assist the school management department in completing a special inspection of the overall school power supply equipment, ensuring a more stable campus power supply in the new semester.
After the start of the school year, various universities in Hefei will directly experience a peak in electricity consumption from the relatively low electricity load during the summer vacation. In response to this situation, a power supply service team has been established in Hefei. Since early August this year, they have assisted more than 200 primary, secondary, and tertiary schools in the city in completing safety inspections of their self managed power equipment and promptly eliminating 107 hidden dangers and defects.
