The total number of EV charging stations in China has exceeded 10 million

According to the National Energy Administration, the scale of my country's charging infrastructure has continued to expand since the beginning of this year, and the number of charging piles has exceeded 10 million.

The latest data shows that as of the end of July, the number of charging piles nationwide reached 10.604 million, a year-on-year increase of 53%, including 3.209 million public charging piles and 7.394 million private charging piles.

In order to adapt to the rapid growth of new energy vehicles and alleviate the difficulty of charging in old communities, cities such as Hangzhou and Shanghai have built shared charging stations to allow charging piles to move intelligently and find cars autonomously, and the utilization efficiency of charging piles has increased by 3 times.

In order to meet the inter-city charging needs of long-distance travel, cities such as Chengdu and Chongqing have built highway super charging stations to achieve the fastest charging of "one second per kilometer". So far, a total of 27,200 charging piles have been built in highway service areas across the country, basically achieving full coverage of all provinces across the country.

At the same time, in order to promote the development of new energy vehicles in rural areas, my country has accelerated the construction of charging infrastructure in county and township areas. So far, more than one-third of the provinces in the country have covered all townships with charging facilities. Among them, Lishui District of Nanjing, Jiangsu, and Yuxi, Yunnan have achieved "full coverage of charging piles in every village".

In the next step, the National Energy Administration will accelerate the filling of the gaps in public charging and swapping infrastructure in rural areas, promote the demonstration and application of new technologies and new models such as community unified construction and operation and mobile charging, and accelerate the construction of a high-quality charging infrastructure system.
