M1 On-line Corrosion Monitoring System

M1 ultrasonic on-line corrosion monitoring system is a non immersion monitoring system.Our non-intrusive systems use  electromagnetic acoustic transducer sensor technology and wireless data delivery to continuously monitor for pipework metal loss from corrosion or erosion in the most difficult environments. Due to the use of electromagnetic acoustic transducer non-destructive testing methods, the probe and metal parts can be lifted by 4mm during measurement, so there is no need to clean the workpiece and it has no damage to the workpiece itself. In addition, the system can also simultaneously monitor changes in coating thickness to help users better assess the corrosion status and remaining service life of the object.

M1 Ultrasonic On-line Corrosion Monitoring System

M1 EMAT(electromagnetic acoustic transducer) online corrosion monitoring system is a non immersion monitoring system. Our non-intrusive systems use  electromagnetic acoustic transducer sensor technology and wireless data delivery to continuously monitor for pipework metal loss from corrosion or erosion in the most difficult environments. Due to the use of electromagnetic acoustic transducer non-destructive testing methods, the probe and metal parts can be lifted by 4mm during measurement, so there is no need to clean the workpiece and it has no damage to the workpiece itself. In addition, the system can also simultaneously monitor changes in coating thickness to help users better assess the corrosion status and remaining service life of the object.

Principle of EMAT thickness measurement:

According to the principle of pulse reflection measurement, when the ultrasonic pulse is transmitted to the measured object and reaches the pipe wall interface, it sequentially generates a first bottom wave, a second bottom wave, etc. The pulse waveform is reflected back to the probe, and the high-speed AD is used to collect the ultrasonic echo waveform (bottom right figure). The thickness value is determined by accurately measuring the time that the ultrasonic wave propagates in the pipe wall. That is, the sound velocity remains constant in the same uniform material, and the time that the ultrasonic wave propagates in the pipe wall is proportional to the thickness of the pipe wall. After converting the time value through the formula, the thickness d can be obtained:

(c - sound velocity value of ultrasound, t - round-trip time of ultrasound propagation in the pipe wall)

Installation steps:

Step 1: After selecting the parts to be monitored on the pipeline, fix the sensor to the contact surface of the pipeline and install it directly on the outer wall of the pipeline using clamps. The entire sensor installation device is designed as a matching product;

Step 2: Connect the sensor to the thickness gauge host via wired connection;

Step 3: Fix the thickness gauge on the instrument bracket.

Debugging:

The installation of the multi-point online monitoring system is shown in the diagram above. The same thickness measuring instrument can monitor up to 4 points simultaneously. Each instrument is first functionally debugged and then connected to the internet to form the entire network online monitoring system.
